Install Paramount Plus as an App on Windows 10
The steps for creating a desktop for Paramount Plus on Windows 10 using a Chromium-based browser like Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Brave. Here we’ll take a look at how to do it with each one.
Using Google Chrome
Launch Chrome on your computer and go to paramountplus.com. Click the Menu button (three dots) in the upper-right corner of Chrome’s toolbar. Then navigate down to More tools > Create shortcut.
Next, type in a name for the shortcut and check the “Open as window” box so it opens as its own app experience. Then click the Create button.
That will create an icon on your desktop, and you can pin it to the Start menu or taskbar and use it as you would any app.
Using Microsoft Edge
Installing the app on Edge is similar but a little more straightforward. Launch Microsoft Edge on your computer and go to paramountplus.com. Then click the Settings and more button (three dots) in the upper-right corner of the browser. Then scroll down to Apps > Install this site as an app.
Next, type in a name you want to use for the app and click the Install button.
The Edge installation is a bit more sophisticated. It will create an app icon on your desktop and the Start menu.
Using Brave
The Brave browser is also Chromium-based and the steps for creating the app are similar. Go to paramountplus.com and click the Menu button in the upper-right corner of the screen. Just like with Chrome, scroll down and choose More tools > Create shortcut.
Type in a name, click the “Open as window” box and click the Create button.
Watch Paramount Plus on Your Desktop
Whichever browser you use, when you launch the app icon, Paramount Plus will open in its own web-app instance on your PC. This makes it easier than opening a full browser, and opening a new tab, and going to Paramount Plus. You can also resize the window and place it in the corner of your screen and use other apps at the same time, for example.
